School of Pharmacy Pharmacy 154 Cedarville University 2009–10 Pharmacy Prepharmacy Cedarville University is in the process of developing and obtaining accreditation for a School of Pharmacy which will culminate in the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy. Our prepharmacy curriculum is designed as a three-year curriculum preparing students for entrance to our School of Pharmacy. Students admitted to the prepharmacy program who meet required standards each of the three years and pass other entrance requirements being developed for the School of Pharmacy are guaranteed admission to Cedarville’s four-year professional program. Entrance to the prepharmacy program is competitive and requires completion of special admissions processes including an on-campus interview. It is recommended that students apply to the University for admission into the prepharmacy program by the end of November prior to their entrance to the University. The prepharmacy requirements listed below fit well with several existing degree programs offered by the science and mathematics department. These include the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology, the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology, and the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in chemistry. Cedarville’s development of a School of Pharmacy and offering of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree is contingent upon receipt of accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education; the Ohio Board of Regents; and The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools ( www.ncahlc.org ).
