The Ohio Independent Baptist, February/March 1991

Having an Impac-i on Ohio Larry Fetzer State Representative As we introduce you to this "new look" fo r the OIB, I am excited with the challenge of continuing the long and illustrious history of this paper, dating back to 1927 . We are asking God to enable us to continue to make this an effective vehicle of communication among our churches, and to help us– together-to have an impact on the state of Ohio. The vision statement adopted by the OARBC states, "We draw together to strengthen and sharpen one another through mutual encouragement and edification." The OIB is an instrument to help accomplish thi s task. I have asked Mrs. Linda Thomas, of Dayton, to be the managing editor for the OIB . She served God with me on the staff of the Washington Heights Baptist Church for 12 years, and thi s past year bas been a part of the Public Relations Department at Cedarville College. She bas training in the production of newslet– ters, and experience in writing, editing, and desktop publishing. Please pray for us as we undertake thi s new area of responsibility. It is our desire for this paper to be a means of help and encouragement to all our people. We are here to serve you, and we want to hear from you. 2 Larry Fetzer • 4221 Wallington Dr. Dayton, OH 45440 • 513-299-3128 Cedarville College NeW's In April Cedarville College will break ground for the new 68,000 square foot engineering/science/nursing building which when coupled with the present science building will provide a 100,000 square foot laboratory and classroom facility .
