Christina Chase Schwartz'86 and her husband,Michael,thank God for his precious gift of Joshua Chase,born December5,1993. Christina was an elementary teacherin WestPalm Beach, Florida for seven years. She now works full-time at home as a wife and mother. Michael is the senior editor at a local ABCTV station. Christina and Michael were married December 8, 1990. INP I Focus ON THE FIELD Joe'68 and Sharon Tallman Hollaway'68 have begun their ministry on the western coast ofIreland in the city of Galway.Because the majority ofthe people are Roman Catholic,the Hollaways will focus on sharing the gospel and encouraging the people to study the Word ofGod and perceive for themselves what God teaches. Kenneth Cole'70 and his wife, Alice, will be returning from The Philippines in June for-a one-year furlough. Sam'71 and Carol Bo McMillen'73N are serving with Evangelical Baptist Missions in Beauvais, France.The McMillens have seven sons! Timothy Bos '78 and his wife Donna began their first term in Romania in December 1993.They are serving with Evangelical Baptist Missions. Lisa McClure'79returned to the United States in March because of political unrest in Colombia.Lisa has settled in North Carolina to complete the school year for the missionary children she was teaching in Bogota.She hopes to be able to return to Colombia in the near future. Francisco de Souza'80 ministered to 100 Brazilians of Japanese ancestry at the Okutama Bible Camp in Japan last December and January.The Souzas hope to leave for Brazil in June as missionaries with Fellowship International Mission. Temple'86 and Beth McKibben Knowles'86 are missionaries to the Samburu tribe in Kenya, East Africa.The Knowles help with Sunday school teaching, Bible studies, and church leadership. Temple is also in charge of making sure things run smoothly on the mission station. Beth enjoys homeschooling Trevor(5)in kindergarten, while also caring for Tyler(4),Morgan(3),and Timothy(1), with one more on the way! Terri Crouse Harmon '92and her husband Robert plan to leave in the fall for Senegal,West Africa. As associate missionaries with New Tribes Mission,Terri will be a first and second grade teacher at Fanda Missionary School,and Robert will be the cook. The Harmons have a daughter, Kathryn Ann (1). Iv DEATHS 111111111111 Thelma Deacon'24 went home to be with her Lord on March 17, 1994 at the age of91.She was a schoolteacher in Parma,Ohio for 37 years. Until her passing,she was recognized as Cedarville College's oldest living alumna. Byron Nelson'35N passed away in November 1993. For mostof his life, he was a chemical engineer with National Cash Register Company.We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife and two sons living in Miamisburg,Ohio. Verna Glander'66joined her Savior in November 1993 after battling cancer for three years. Memorial services were held on November 14 at Canyon del Oro Baptist Church in Tucson,Arizona. Verna served as a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators for many years. David Bush'83N wenthome to be with the Lord on April 6,1994 as the result ofa car accident.Dave was the pastor ofBerean Baptist Church in Winchester, Kentucky for three years.Our heartfelt condolences are with his wife,Renee,and their three young children.
