Welcome to Cedarville Online! For over ten years, Cedarville University has been offering online courses. Whether for current students to get ahead in the summer or for high-school students to earn dual credit, Cedarville has made available their excellent education in an online form. Beginning in the fall of 2025, Cedarville will now offer undergraduate degree programs completely online. Starting with five majors, Cedarville will extend its reach to offer their distinct majors, taught from a Christian worldview to students around the globe. This section will detail specific policies and guidelines for our online students that differ from details for on-campus students as well as the requirements for the initial five majors. We are excited to expand the exceptional education that Cedarville is known for to transform lives through excellent education and intentional discipleship in submission to biblical authority. Dr. Bob Lutz Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, Cedarville University Mission Cedarville University offers fully online undergraduate degree programs designed to integrate academic excellence with a biblical worldview. These programs provide flexibility for students to engage in coursework from any location, accommodating diverse life circumstances while maintaining the university's commitment to Christ-centered education. Starting in the Fall of 2025, students can pursue majors in Accounting, Communication, Finance, Information Technology Management, and Management through an asynchronous online format. Admissions Admission policies for online students are the same for on-campus students and are detailed in the Undergraduate Admissions section in this catalog. Since Cedarville follows a rolling admissions process, online students can jump into courses at five different times during the year. Enrollment Deposit A $250 enrollment deposit is required to confirm enrollment in online undergraduate programs. Deposit deadlines vary by session. The enrollment deposit is fully refundable if the request for refund is received before the enrollment deposit deadline. All refund requests must be made in writing by the student. Enrollment deposits are not refundable after the deposit deadline. Enrollment deposit deadlines are as follows: Term Deadline Fall Session A July 15 Fall Session B October 1 Spring Session A November 1 Spring Session B February 15 Summer Session May 1 Students admitted after the enrollment deposit deadlines must submit their enrollment deposits within two weeks of notification of admission. Application Deadline To help ensure success for a student, applications must be received two weeks prior to the start of an online course, allowing for time for acceptance, orientation, registration, and purchase of books. Orientation Upon acceptance, online students gain access to the Accepted Student Portal, which includes orientation materials and guides for using Canvas, the university's learning management system. Orientation covers essential topics such as course navigation, academic expectations, and available support services.
