2022–23 Graduate Academic Catalog Page 51 School of Business Administration Master of Arts in Innovation Master of Arts in Innovation Purpose Statement The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Innovation from Cedarville University was crafted by entrepreneurs and innovation industry leaders to equip students with the latest creative problem skills and knowledge, all taught from a unique biblical view. The problems and challenges in today's marketplace are only increasing in complexity and require a disciplined, creative and repeatable approach for brands, products, and services to not just stay relevant but to compete and serve well! The M.A. in Innovation guides students through a cutting-edge process of idea identification and validation, the design thinking and research process, business model generation and refinement, prototyping, and go-to-market strategies. The program is delivered 100% online and in partnership with the International Center for Creativity, a Columbus, Ohiobased leader in innovation and industrial design education. The program's core focuses on management and organizational leadership, and on strategic marketing. Students can also customize their program for their own goals by choosing an emphasis in either Business Innovation or Business Analytics and Visualization. Develop biblically consistent value propositions and business models. 5. Communicate a proposed solution relying on sound judgement, analysis, and data. 6. Admission Standards Cedarville University invites applications to the M.A. program from graduates who have received a degree from a regionally accredited or otherwise approved university, who are able to present strong academic records, and who have a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Each candidate will be reviewed on an individual basis. In addition to the general admission requirements listed in the Graduate Admissions section of this catalog, students must meet the following requirements: • Meet all program prerequisites. Students not meeting program prerequisites or admission standards may be considered for conditional admission to the program. • Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale). Conditional acceptance may be offered in some cases where the overall grade point average is at least a 2.0. Specific conditions will be decided by the M.A. Admissions Committee. • Completion of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) may be required for those with a grade point average below 2.75. Some exceptions are made on an individual basis. The GRE is an acceptable alternative. • Computer proficiency and ability to take courses in an online environment. • Recommendations from a church leader and professional colleague. Recommendations from personal friends or family members will not be accepted.
