Students who have not met this requirement, as determined by the Office of the Registrar, must enroll in BTGS-6100 Biblical and Theological Foundations for Graduate Study before or concurrent with other classes during the first year of the program. +NSG-8100: designed to be taken a minimum of 5 semesters throughout the DNP program Doctor of Nursing Practice Program: Post-Graduate The DNP Post-Graduate program provides a pathway to the Doctor of Nurse Practitioner degree for students who have previously completed an MSN degree program with an advanced practice nursing focus or nursing leadership focus. Program Objectives Upon completion of the Doctor of Nursing Practice: PostGraduate program the graduate will be able to: 1. Integrate the nursing practice competencies of the specialty with a biblical worldview underlying the advanced nursing practice roles and responsibilities. 2. Integrate the nursing science with knowledge from other disciplines that influence health and healthcare as the basis for the highest level of nursing practice. 3. Demonstrate the competency to use systems thinking and organizational leadership to improve healthcare outcomes. 4. Design and implement evidence-based quality and safety initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes. 5. Evaluate and recommend suitable information systems and patient care technology and transformation of healthcare. 6. Demonstrate the capacity to assume leadership in advocating for just, ethical, and equitable healthcare policy. 7. Lead diverse interprofessional partnerships to optimize care, enhance the healthcare experience, improve outcomes, and reduce costs. Admissions Criteria – MSN to DNP Cedarville University invites applications to the Doctor of Nursing Practice MSN to DNP program who: 1. Have earned a master's degree in nursing grade point average of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale. Applicants with GPA <3.0 (2.50-2.99) may apply and be considered for admission. A petition outlining evidence of capacity for academic success should be submitted along with the application. The petition will not be reviewed until an application is completed. 2. Official transcripts of a baccalaureate and master's degree in nursing from an accredited program. Transcripts must show completion evidence of college level nursing research and statistics courses. Acceptance into the program as well as ability to enroll is contingent upon receipts of documentation acknowledging successful completion (≥C-) of an undergraduate nursing research course and an undergraduate statistics course prior to the enrollment date. 3. Evidence of active, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the United States. 4. Submission of two academic or professional letters of recommendations (faculty members or work supervisor) speaking to the applicant's potential for success in graduate education. Submission of one Christian leader letter of recommendation. Recommendations from personal friends or family members will not be accepted. 5. Completion of two essay questions (250-word maximum per question) will be evaluated based on overall content and writing competence. 6. RN work experience. 7.
