Waste Services, founded by Jesse Lear ’09 and Travis Smith ’09 , was named to the 2014 Empact100 by Empact, an organization that celebrates the impact and diversity of young entrepreneurs. This award honored the top 100 companies run by entrepreneurs 35 and under. Rachel Gilin ’10 is beginning her second year teaching in West Nairobi School in Kenya. She acknowledges God’s goodness in allowing her to adjust to Kenya so quickly and be a small part of some exciting things He is doing. Dale Lempa ’10 was appointed Administrator at Community Christian School of Baraboo in Baraboo, Wisconsin. This appointment follows his completion of a Master of Divinity degree from Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary, North Carolina. He and his wife, Jill, reside in Baraboo with their newborn daughter, Eleanor. Preston Godbold ’11 and Matthew Williams ’14 were named as 2014 Woodrow Wilson Ohio Teaching Fellows by the Ohio Board of Regents, the Ohio Department of Education, and the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The Woodrow Wilson Ohio Teaching Fellowship recruits top-quality teacher candidates to teach math and science in high-need Ohio schools. The Fellows include both accomplished career changers and outstanding recent college graduates, all with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (the STEMM fields). Preston has a degree in molecular and cellular biology and resides in Dayton, Ohio. Matt has a degree in physics and resides in Xenia, Ohio. Elyse Nemec ’11 graduated from George Mason University in August 2014 with a Master of Arts in strategic communications. Casey Foulk ’12 , is a CPA and was promoted to Senior Accountant by Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A., a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Alayna (Diebold) Greenwood ’12 joined Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A., a certified public accounting and consulting firm, as Administrative Services Associate for the Marketing Team. She currently resides in Bear, Delaware, with her husband, Aaron. Lauren (Shaw) Hensley ’13 earned her master’s degree in education from Concordia University. She just accepted her first teaching job at Hannan Jr. Sr. High School in Mason County, West Virginia, for the 2014–2015 school year. She will be teaching ninth- and 11th-grade general and honors language arts classes. Lauren and her husband, Rob, live in Huntington, West Virginia.
