alumnotes | Births Drew ’05 and Stephanie (Hueni) Flamm ’06 announce the adoption of Jadon Ezra (3) from Ethiopia on September 6, 2013. They reside in Winona Lake, Indiana, where Drew is the Vice President for Advancement at Grace College and Seminary. Stuart II ’05 and Hannah (Ballou) Sheldon ’04 announce the birth of Edward Alan on May 3, 2014. He was welcomed by big brothers Stuart III (5) and Robert (4) and big sister Helen (2) in Rosewood, Ohio. The family will spend September 2014 to September 2015 living in Japan as part of Stu II’s automotive engineering career. Melissa (Snyder) Tannehill ’05 and her husband, Chad, announce the birth of Madelyn Joy on May 28, 2014. They currently reside in Plainfield, Indiana. Amy (Hollins) Whitsel ’05 and her husband, Jeremiah, announce the birth of their first child, Brody Micah. His life, however, was not meant to be long. Brody joined the family and returned to heaven on the same day, February 17, 2014. Amy and Jeremiah miss him and love him so much and choose to still say, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Susan (Knaus) Ham ’07 and her husband, Jeremy, announce the birth of Amelia Susan Ham on April 10, 2014. She was welcomed by older brother Josiah. Michael ’07 and Lachelle (Richter) Hubenthal ’08 announce the birth of Kristin Beth on March 12, 2014. She was welcomed home by big sisters Abigail (4) and Elise (2). Michael is an engineer at John Deere. Lachelle enjoys being a stay-at-home mom. They reside in Dubuque, Iowa. Shanna (Banks) Thompson ’07 and her husband, Jon, announce the birth of Paisley Lynn on May 2, 2014, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jon serves with the Lawrence Police Department, and Shanna is the Outreach Event Coordinator at Northview Church in Carmel, Indiana. Wendy (Austin) Carter ’08 and her husband, Kenton, announce the birth of Emery Dawnae on January 7, 2014. They live in Holland, Michigan, where Kenton works at Benjamin’s Hope as a Manager of Residential Life and Wendy is a third-grade teacher. Joe ’11 and Meredith (Edwards) Horst ’10 announce the birth of Kayla Anne on December 20, 2013. Joe and Meredith both work as registered nurses for Lancaster General Hospital. Joe works in the Intensive Care Unit, and Meredith works in Labor and Delivery. They reside in Millersville, Pennsylvania. Cedarville University | Fall 2014
