News & Chapter Focus | alumnotes Kevin ’06 and Bethany (Butters) Hall ’05, along with their children, Kaden (4) and Makenzie (2), moved to Monterrey, Mexico, in March 2015 to serve full time with Back2Back Ministries, an international Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for orphans. As a family, they work with the Casa Hogar Del Norte children’s home. Kevin leads U.S. teams in work projects and relationship-building with the kids and oversees staff discipleship and mentoring for the men. Bethany assists with medical needs of the staff and team guests and oversees the on-campus medical clinic. She will also begin homeschooling Kaden in the fall. Michelle Lanham ’07 graduated with her Juris Doctor in January 2014 and was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Ohio in November 2014 after receiving a passing score on the Ohio Bar Examination. She is now also admitted to the federal bar of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio. Michelle lives in Columbus and is working at a civil litigation firm. Valerie Van Wingerden ’05 was invited by State Senator and congressional candidate Darin LaHood to the state capitol building in Springfield, Illinois, on May 20, 2015, to be an honorary page for the day.
