alumnotes | News Robert Domokos ’62 retired from his ministry at Faith Baptist Bible College after 44 years of service. Upon his retirement, he was given the title of Distinguished Professor Emeritus. Dennis Stillwell ’68 recently published a book, Corrections in Biblical Prophecy , that uses Scripture to examine true prophecy about the End Times and refute false teachings that are commonly presented today. Mark Peters ‘81 was named Teacher of the Year for Brevard County, Florida. Mark has taught physical education and health at Port Malabar Elementary School for 32 years. Donna (Payne) VanLiere ’89 released her latest book, The Christmas Town , in October. This book joins Donna’s other best-selling classics, including The Christmas Shoes , The Christmas Hope, The Good Dream, and Finding Grace , and shares the story of finding love, hope, and family in unexpected places . It can be purchased from amazon. com, ibooks, and major book retailers. Jonathan Haskell ’90 was recently appointed Executive Director of Yoke Youth Ministries in Knoxville, Tennessee. Yoke connects middle school students with adult mentors through after-school clubs, camps, and special activities. Founded in 1977, Yoke now has programs in 26 schools across five counties in East Tennessee. Brett Tipton ’92 recently published How Could a Loving God Allow Dad to Get Cancer? , a book that focuses on Brett’s struggle watching his dad battle cancer. Beth (Gildan) Henry ’73 recently retired from the classroom after 32 years of teaching, primarily first grade. Although she will continue part time as a reading tutor at Heartland Christian School in Columbiana, Ohio, she will be sorely missed as she is, according to husband Bill ’73 , “the best first-grade teacher in the world.” William Henry ’73 received a standing ovation when he announced his retirement from the position of Theatre Director for Heartland Christian School in Columbiana, Ohio. He began the theatre department at the school in 2001 and has directed one– three plays each year since, from classics such as Pride and Prejudice to comedies like Our Miss Brooks , Gilligan’s Island , and The Princess Bride . Kevin Wolf ’74 had his novel, The Homeplace, selected as the 2015 Tony Hillerman Award winner for best debut mystery set in the Southwest.
