alumnotes | News Vanessa (Lindeman) Simkins ’02 had a hardcopy book, The Juice Lover’s Big Book of Juices: 425 Recipes for Super Nutritious and Crazy Delicious Juices, published on October 15 with Harvard Common Press & Quarto Books. Her popular website and newsletter at AllAboutJuicing.com reach a quarter of a million visitors each month. Christopher Stokes ’03 was installed as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Greenfield, Ohio, on May 15, 2016. Chris and his wife, Lauren (Stewart) ’04, were excited to move back to Ohio after following God’s call into the ministry. Jeff Beckley ’04 recently released a book titled Bottom Line. Using the Psalms, this yearlong devotional provides clever applications and valuable lessons for everyday life. He and his wife, Shannon, have four children. Katie (Krumeich) Boone ‘06 received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University in May 2015. Katie works as a nurse practitioner part time and also enjoys staying home with daughters Abigail and Olivia. She and her husband, David, live in Modesto California. Philip Dudley ’07 was recently promoted to Property Manager with Hines and has taken over management of KOMO Plaza across the street from the Space Needle in Seattle. KOMO Plaza is home to KOMO 4 News and Univision TV and radio stations as well as being a robust data center location for Seattle. Philip Vinson ‘09 serves as Project Manager/Senior Appraiser for the Clermont County Auditor’s Office. He is responsible for implementing the countywide reappraisal of 100,000 parcels of real property. Philip currently resides on the east side of Cincinnati. Janelle Myers ’10 received her Indiana teaching license through Indiana Wesleyan’s Transition to Teaching program in September 2016. In addition, she is a licensed English language teacher in a public school. Hannah Bryan ’12 graduated from the John Hay Institute of Philadelphia and has been part of founding a classical Christian homeschool co-op. Tieg Laskowske ’15 has been working for PQR International, Inc., in Plano, Texas, since March 2016. PQR is a consulting firm for construction projects, providing engineering services in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical distribution. Stephanie Huyser ’16 is teaching preschool and coaching high school swimming. Her girls team recently won their conference championship. Cedarville University | Spring 2017
