Cedarville University | Summer 2014 alumnotes | Births & In Memoriam Alexander Beaujean ’99 and his wife, Christine, announce the birth of Susanna Pearl and Aleisa Luci on June 18, 2013. The family resides in Waco, Texas, where Alex and Christine are faculty members at Baylor University. Ben ‘03 and Sandy (Wilhelm) Johnson ‘03 announce the birth of Norah Susanne on October 4, 2013. Ben is the IT Assistant at Lakeland Christian School (LCS). Sandy serves as the Communication Specialist at LCS and is an adjunct professor in the communications department at Southeastern University. Wayne Fannon ’05 and his wife, Emily, announce the birth of Luke David on February 12, 2013. Luke was welcomed to the family by big brother Micah (2). They reside in Smithville, Ohio. Greg ’05 and Julie (Roth) Schwab ‘04 announce the birth of Claire Nicole on April 9, 2014. She was welcomed home by sister Addison (4) and brother Cooper (3). Greg works as a pastor at City Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where they currently reside. Julie is a stay-at-home mom. Rachel (Bowers) Belt ’10 and her husband, Nathan, announce the birth of Walker Bradley on August 8, 2013. Nikki (Overly) Bender ’10 and her husband, Jesse, announce the birth of Steven Josiah on March 21, 2014. The family resides in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, where Nikki works for Solanco School District and Jesse works for the Department of Defense. Clarence E. Gray ’37 of Naples, Florida, passed away April 2, 2014. Betty (Sickles) Hamman ’49 of Cedarville, Ohio, passed away April 11, 2014. Homer Burton ’53 of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away April 1, 2014. Carol (Dykstra) Sheets ’65 of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away December 15, 2013. Bruce A. Hayes ’71 of Springfield, Ohio, passed away June 8, 2014. Dianne (Davis) Nemitz ’87 of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away March 24, 2014. Kyle Ripperger ’13 of Maineville, Ohio, passed away June 20, 2014.
