alumnotes | New Additions 12 Amy (Clutz) Todich ’99 and her husband, Nathan, announce the birth of Joel Harrison on June 1, 2019. He joined older brothers Jonathan (4) and Josiah (2). 13 Dale Pinkley ’99 and his wife, Sarah, brought home their son Kemloveson Miracle from Haiti. He joined his older brother and sister, Isaac and Naomi. 14 Elizabeth (Whitley) Garard ’02 and her husband, Matt, announce the birth of Levi Henry on February 22, 2019. Levi was welcomed home by big sister Nora. The family resides in Urbana, Illinois. 15 Laura (Castle) Gauntt ’06 and her husband, David, announce the birth of Rebecca Ann on November 12, 2018. Rebecca was welcomed home by Leah (4) and Daniel (2). The Gauntt family resides in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. 16 Heather (Hayes) Vedder ’08 and her husband, Justin, announce the birth of Jude Michael on December 5, 2018. The Vedder family lives in Charlotte, Michigan. 17 Elisabeth (Small) Addis ’09 and her husband, Stephen, announce the birth of Israel Zane on May 22, 2018. Israel was welcomed home by older brother, Jordan Zane. The Addis family resides in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Elisabeth is a stay-at-home mom, and Stephen just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan with the United States Marine Corps. 18 Katie (Kremer) Gloria ’11 and her husband, Robert, announce the birth of Emma Katherine on March 22, 2019. She is joined by big sister Violet at the family’s home in Overland Park, Kansas. 19 Jeff ’12 and Laura (Thayer) Evans ’10 welcomed Micah Elliot in August 2018. Big brother Josiah is excited to have a new playmate and friend. Jeff works as the Vice President of Business and Institutional Relations for Jerusalem University College, and Laura adjuncts for Cedarville University and runs a private music studio. 20 Shelby (Haas) Thornton ’14 and her husband, Jeremy, announce the birth of Evelyn Justine on June 28, 2019. Evelyn has one older brother, Riley Alan (8). Shelby works as a geriatric social worker/clinical supervisor, and Jeremy is a sergeant at a corrections facility.
