Raymond Davis ’66 of Brentwood, Missouri, passed away on May 23, 2019. Gene Peterson ’73 of Sebring, Florida, passed away on September 23, 2019. Sandra (Johnson) Jones ’78 of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away November 25, 2019. Robert Moll ’01 of Rowley, Massachusetts, passed away on October 22, 2019. Patrick Smith ’04 of Owosso, Michigan, passed away on March 7, 2019. Aaron Kreider ’04 of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 23, 2019. Heather (Heagy) Carter ’08 of Manheim, Pennsylvania, passed away November 29, 2019. We extend our condolences to the families and friends of these dear loved ones. LOOK WHO WE CAUGHT ON CAMPUS We are always excited to have our alumni back on campus to engage with the University and our students! Several alumni participated in the annual Community Christmas Celebration on December 8, 2019: Caleb Peterson ’16 collaborated with the Jazz Band; Scott Eshelman ’17 accompanied the program on the organ; and Anna Porter ’16 read the Christmas Story. A recording of the concert is available in the chapel archive. Many Cedarville missionary alumni came to campus to represent their organizations at the GO Conference missions fair on January 7–9, 2020: John Harrison ’07 with Encompass, Nicole Doornink ’18 with World Team, and Craig Winsor ’92 with SIM. Michael Tapia ’15 from SonSet Solutions and Melissa Friesen ’03 from ABWE participated in panel discussions at the GO Conference. Loren Reno ’70 spoke in chapel on January 17, 2020, as part of the CU LEAD conference. He spoke from 1 Kings 3:1–15 prompting us to ask ourselves what vision we will pursue, as we can only lead others well if we first lead ourselves well. He serves as Senior Advisor to the President at Cedarville University. David Gibbs III ’N90 spoke in chapel on January 29, 2020. He serves as president and general counsel of the National Center for Life & Liberty. Keith Minier ’00 spoke in chapel on November 13, 2019, about the nature of what it means to be a Christian is: to become selfless, to become marked by service, and to elevate others. His text was John 13. He serves as Lead Pastor at Grace Fellowship in Pickerington, Ohio. Joe Mulvaney ’01 served as a judge at The Second Pitch, an entrepreneurial event hosted by the Beyond Entrepreneurship Accelerator. Sean Kisch ’17 had his composition Rose Island featured by the Cedarville University Wind Symphony in its February 27, 2020, concert. Jonathan Lyons ’17 hosted the livestream of the first annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on December 3.
