alumnotes | Births 5 Jonathan ’99 and Amy (Carpenter) Murphy ’00 announce the adoption of son Ethan Robert (5) from China in March 2016. They also received the surprise blessing of little brother Isaac Martin in July 2017. Big brother Ewen (11) has had a huge adjustment to two little brothers in less than two years! 6 Mark Freeman ’01 and his wife, Stephanie, along with Everett (3), recently celebrated the first birthday of daughter Olivia. Mark is a social studies teacher at Saltsburg Middle High School, and Stephanie is a school counselor at Derry Area High School. They reside in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Ivan Davis ’05 and his wife, Jenny, announce the birth of Lydia Ruth on October 19, 2017. She joined sisters Heidi (5) and Anna (2). They are so thankful to the Lord for this new addition to their family. 7 Nick ’05 and Sara (Grosskopf) Graff ’05 announce the birth of Titus John on April 28, 2017. He joined siblings Olivia (4) and Noah (2). The Graff family lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Nick works in commercial banking at Chase and Sara works for the Department of Defense as a financial analyst. Liz (Lemmel) McClurkan ’05 and her husband, Ryne, announce the birth of Torah Faye Lemmel McClurkan in January 2018. Her name honors Liz’s Jewish heritage and means “God is faithful and keeps all of His promises.” She joined big brother Owen Loyd (2). They live in Nashville, Tennessee, where Ryne is an LIS Analyst with Pathgroup Labs and Liz is a stay-at-home mom. 8 Joshua ’07 and Betsy (Hinks) Blackburn ’07 are praising the Lord for the adoption of Daniel Jedidiah (1) from China in January 2018. Daniel joined siblings Hannah (7), Caleb (4), and William (2) in Beavercreek, Ohio. 9 Alisa (Rutt) Hoober ’08 and her husband, Clark, announce the birth of Mirielle Anne on March 3, 2018. They live in Gap, Pennsylvania. Kimberly (Elliott) Chan ’09 and her husband, Andy, announce the birth of Emily Lois on August 4, 2017. 10 David ’09 and Lindsay (Di Donato) Van Schepen ’08 announce the birth of Owen Joseph, on August 31, 2017. 11 Chris ’10 and Danielle (Brown) Williams ’11 announce the birth of Eve Margaret on February 2, 2018. She was welcomed home by her big brother Timothy (2). The Williams live in South County, Rhode Island. 12 Erin (Brown) Miller ’11 and her husband, Dan, announce the birth of Phoebe Renee on November 10, 2017. 13 A.J. ’11 and Megan (Welborn) Guerette ’11 announce the birth of Lowena Noelle on February 20, 2018. She joined siblings Ailsa (4) and Clancy (2). Katie (Kremer) Gloria ’11 and her husband, Robert, announce the birth of Violet in September 2017.
