1887-1967 Cedarville College Annual Report
The college is a member of the Ohio College Association and the Council for the Advancement of Small Colleges. In 1963, the State Department of Education of Ohio provisionally approved our teacher-training program. The college has en– gaged the services of a consultant to help us in our pursuit of accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The Cedarville College faculty is rapidly developing into a mature and well-qualified teaching and professional staff as more and more members complete their doctoral pro– grams. Almost all of the faculty now hold at least masters degrees. Half of the faculty have been at Cedarville for at least five years, and the average number of years of teaching experience numbers ten. A significant development this past year was the change from the semester to the quarter calendar. This step pro– vided an impetus for several curricular changes including the reorganization of the general education program and the strengthening of almost all major fields through reorganiza– tion and addition of courses.
