1968 Cedarville College Annual Report
H1Rot as tbougb 1f ba~ alrea~r attaine~" Philippians 3:12 DR. JAMES T. JEREMIAH, President In recent years Cedarville College has experienced phenomenal growth. The size of the student body has more than doubled. The faculty has increased numerically, and through dedicated effort in the pursuit of graduate degrees, has become a more profi– cient teaching staff. The physical facilities on the campus have undergone improvements that seemed impossible when plans were originally projected for such an ambitious building program. Progress is everywhere apparent. This expansion is encouraging because it has been realized apart from government subsidies, and with little aid from foundations and business enterprises. "This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes" (Psalm 118:23). As we consider what has been done, we are challenged to anticipate a future in which our God shall perform even greater things. There is much more "land to be possessed," many more victories to be won, and numerous questions to be answered. With Paul we can say "Not as though I had already attained" (Philippians 3:12). Cedarville College cannot be satisfied with its past accomplishments. There are always new goals before us due to greater demands of more interested young people. In this report we shall refer to many of the milestones the college has already passed on the journey toward the goal of m:ik– ing available to our youth the best possible education program. We hope you will carefully read the following pages and experi– ence a deep sense of satisfaction because you have been personally involved . We arc grateful that every success enjoyed by Ce<l:i.r– ville has been made possible by friends such as you who have prayed, worked, and given. As you peruse this report you will share with us some of the exciting opportunities we believe are awaiting fulfillment in the near future. You will observe that our plans are all related to our purpose. The fulfillment of this purpose is costly both to the student enrolled in the college, and the constituency supporting it. For many reasons Christi:i.n young people arc willing to p:iy a higher price for Christian education, but they need the help of all of us so that they can afford the education they desire and need.
