Program Highlights A recent report released by the American College Testing Program revealed that 67% of the high school seniors who entered Cedarville College, chose the college for its special academic curriculum and ap– proach . Standing apart from most colleges in its Christ– een tered outlook of learning, Cedorvi Ile offers on unique curriculum . The Liberal Arts College concept provides each student with the opportunity to investigate brood areas of studies as he integrates his findings with a thorough challenge in Bible curriculum . Expanding his knowledge in several disciplines aids the student in pursuing concentrated study in a chosen major field Curriculum Growing in curriculum, Cedarville College now offers majors in Comprehensive Bible, Biology, Broadcasting, Business Administration, Chemistry, Elementary/ Secon– dary Education, English, Health/Physical Education, History, Mathematics, Music, Psychology, Social Science, Speech, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Within the above list on expanded area and a new area open doors to fresh phases of the Libero I Arts Education at Cedor– vi lie. The Biblical Education Comprehensive major hos been designed for the man or woman who plans to enter active full-time Christion work immediately upon grad– uation from college. Ninety hours of deportment courses, including Biblical Studies, Theology, Practical Theology and Christion Education equip graduates for Christion Service in the Pastorate, Youth Work, the Mission field, and Christion Education directorships. Unique Inter-disciplinary Program The program of study is totally elective. Under the guidance of his academic counselor, the student con choose courses that best fit into his background and future needs. Liberal arts courses ore selected for their future relevance to the Christion ministry. Seeking to develop a student's understanding of the inter-relations between various disciplines and the Scripture is the objective purpose of the new Interdis– ciplinary Studies program. It is designed to combine depth of knowledge in o particular field with corres– ponding relationships in other disciplines. The student examines basic concepts, techniques and problems which ore shored mutually by other fields as well as the one in which he is majoring. "American Min– orities," "Mon and Reliable Knowledge," and "Mon and His Environment" ore some of the new academic selections offered by the studies program. Faculty The Lord hos given us a dedicated faculty of 60, all born-again Christians, 31 % of whom hove Doctorates and 28% who ore now working toward that goal. This professional attainment on the port of our faculty coupled with their Spiritual committment equips them, not only to instruct the student effectively, but also to counsel him in his personal development. By integrating the academic, social, and spiritual as– pects into on education revolving around the Word of God, Cedarville College provides a challenge to each student to accept the coll of God upon his life, whether it be a coll to a full-time Christion vocation or to be a full-time Christion in a secular vocation . 3
