They represent an 83 percent enrollment increase in the 14 years since Dr. Paul Dixon became president. Cedarville students come from 43 states and several foreign countries. The freshman class added to the number of top scholars on campus. Of this year's 593 entering freshmen, • 10 percent were valedictorians of their high school classes • 27 percent were in the top 10 percent of their high school classes • 10 are National Merit finalists or semi-finalists • 49 qualified as President's Scholars by scoring in the top two percent in the nation on the ACT or SAT tests • the average ACT is 24 Twenty new faculty joined the Cedarville College family for the 1992-93 academic year, increasing the number of full-time teaching faculty to 122. These professionals bring their expertise to newer programs as well as to growing programs already in place. Students now may choose from over 75 areas of study and all take a minor in Bible. Even in a period of tremendous growth, Cedarville has maintained a personal approach to instruction. An average class has only 20 students. And during the crucial first year, when students at some universities sit in lecture halls with a thousand students, freshman level classes at Cedarville average only 26 students. 2,172 TOTAL ENROLLMENT
