1991-1992 Cedarville College Annual Report

A HIGH-TECH FACILITY n dic'1ed '1 Homecoming 1992, the three-story Engineering/Nursing/Science Center features high-tech laboratories for mechanical and electrical engineering, well– equipped science labs, and a simulated hospital wing for nursing education. The new 68,000 square-foot addition to the refurbished Science Center provides a structure of almost 100,000 square feet devoted to the applied sciences. Nearly 70% of Cedarville's students currently have at least one class in the new facility, including general education courses and classes from many academic departments. The success of these programs is evident in academic competitions and placement. Engineering students continue to place well in national design competitions, and 100% of our premed students who graduated in 1992 were admitted to medical school. Cedarville College has named its Engineering Department in honor of the late Dr. Elmer W. Engstrom. An internationally known engineer, Dr. Engstrom was president and CEO of RCA as well as an active Christian layman. Students and faculty use the latest equipment for hands-on experience in the applied sciences. CAMPAIGN GOAL $7 MILLION
