edarville College is committed to students-to their spiritual, physical, and social development, as well as their educational and professional development. Along with the quality academic programs and an uplifting spiritual climate, the residence hall program is a vital part of the Cedarville experience. Over 75 percent of Cedarville students live on campus in residence halls. Good things occur in the dorms. Students make lifelong friends as prayer meetings, one-on-one discipleship, and fun, wholesome activities take place. So the College keeps building residence halls to accommodate the growing student body, including two 98-bed additions to Willetts Hall for women in the last two years. Since Dr. Dixon took office in 1978, the college has constructed residential space for 1,330 students. CEDAQVILLE I8 COMMITTED TO FAMILY. Dr. Dixon delights in assembling the local college family of students, faculty, staff, administration, and when possible, the extended members- alumni and friends who give financial and prayer support. Cedarville is committed to strengthening the students' families. Three favorite weekends on campus are Grandparents Weekend in the fall, Li'l Sibs Weekend in the winter, and Parents Weekend in the spring. Hundreds of family members converge on the campus for each of these events and enjoy special activities planned just for them and their students. The College is committed as well to strengthening the students' future families. Dr. Dixon presents a series of chapel messages on the family on a cycle that will reach every student who passes through Cedarville. AN INNOVATIVE CAMPU8 ACTIVITIE8 OfFICE provides cultural, social, educational, and recreational activities in keeping with the college mission and objectives. Director Dick Walker helps channel student energies into exciting events. In Getting Started Week, 120 upperclassmen volunteer to help over 700 new students have fun as they get off on the right foot at Cedarville. During Barney's Week in spring quarter, students clean up parks and streams and help senior citizens in the area with their spring cleaning. Other annual, popular activities include banquets, talent nights, all– school parties, interest trips and the Artist Series. In the last two years, the College family has enjoyed the Montovani Orchestra, the Canadian Brass, the Vienna Boys Choir, and others. Sixty percent of the students are involved in recreational and intramural sports programs that provide social interaction as well as physical exercise.
