6 C edarville College is committed to using technology to provide the best possible Christian education. Integration of technology with learning is accomplished through the College's newly-renovated Technology Resource Center and CedarNet, the College's computer network. As the current recipient of the CAUSE award for being the top campus network in the nation among institutions with annual operating budgets of less than $100 million, CedarNet puts computer programs and e-mail at students' fingertips . Offering CedarNet access and computer workstations in each classroom, the Technology Resource Center helps make career-related technology an integral part of the Cedarville experience. Renovation of the former chapel building into the Technology Resource Center was completed by the beginning of the 1998-99 school year. Designed to provide Cedarville students with access to state-of-the-art computer technology, the Center includes two 84-seat classrooms with advanced technology teaching stations, four computer classrooms, the DP&L Technology Training Center with video conferencing capabilities, a commuter lounge, and new faculty/staff offices. The Center further positions the College as a leader in campus computer networking . Network Highlights + Over 95 percent of the faculty and 80 percent of the student body use the network daily. + Several thousand e-mail messages are received from other Internet sites around the world each day. + 1,000 computer workstations are located in residence halls; there are 1,600 stations on campus. + Every residence hall room is equipped with a computer. + More than 150 software packages are offered through CedarNet. + More than 50 research databases from the library home page are accessible from dorm rooms. + OhioLINK provides access to 24.8 million library volumes 24 hours a day.
