2006-2007 Annual Report

As a Christ-centered learning community, we never stop working to advance the education we provide for our students. New majors and innovative programs are providing the cutting-edge knowledge and skills for a new generation. Cedarville’s distinction is to go beyond what is expected — to be intentional as we engage the culture with the heart and mind of Christ. We do not shy away from challenges or controversy. We know that God has called all of us to be His ambassadors. Looking back at 2007, this report celebrates the commitments and accomplishments, the people and the priorities that define the Cedarville experience. Rejoice as we celebrate God’s unique provision. Pray for us as we continue to live out the distinct calling we have for God’s glory. Equipping students together, Dr. Bill Brown President A Message from Dr. Bill Brown, President It’s all too easy to take the good things around us for granted, to miss the remarkable significance of the experiences that shape our lives. For Cedarville University, this was a year to be reminded — to review, assess, and affirm — to celebrate the distinctive educational experience that only Cedarville provides. In these days of postmodern uncertainty, we have taken a firm stand in our commitment to the Word of God as our foundation. The construction of our 60,000-square-foot Center for Biblical and Theological Studies places the importance of biblical study right in the middle of the Cedarville University campus. There is no confusion about what is at the heart of the Cedarville community. Many other visible aspects of everyday life confirm our commitments: a Bible minor for every student, high-energy daily chapel, and ministry opportunities throughout the surrounding area and around the world.
