2006-2007 Annual Report

“CU’s reaccreditation is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the faculty and staff of Cedarville University. Having our self-study document selected for display at the annual meeting of the Higher Learning Commission manifests that we were willing to produce an evaluative report that demonstrated quality in all of the opportunities the University provides to students and that those who have dedicated their lives here are committed to the mission.” Dr. Thomas Mach ’88, Ph.D. Self-Study Coordinator, Professor of History Voice. In the midst of the strident culture wars about abortion, death and dying, stem cell research, cloning, and genetic engineering, there is a need for an academic voice guided by Christian theology, reason, and a passion for the sanctity of human life. Cedarville University launched the Center for Bioethics in October 2006. We are committed to being that voice. The development of the Center for Bioethics is a natural outgrowth of the University’s outstanding academic reputation in the sciences, our commitment to biblical integration, and our desire to engage the culture with the heart and mind of Christ.
