2007-2008 Annual Report

Donors provided $1,379,780 in student scholarships through endowment gifts, The Cedarville Fund, and other scholarship programs. This year 467 students benefited from their generosity. The students from the class of 2008, along with their parents, gave $19,312 to retrofit a room in McChesney Hall to make it completely handicap accessible. This class gift was given in honor of their classmate, Dan Knudsen, who suffered a spinal cord injury while on a missions trip to Mexico in 2007. Dan returned to Cedarville in August 2008 and enjoys the residence hall experience in a room that was designed to maximize his independence. Initiatives like The Cedarville Fund’s Phonathon have helped increase participation rates for alumni giving. Last year, a team of students spoke to more than 4,000 alumni and gave them an opportunity to hear campus news, send a greeting to a favorite professor, and share a prayer request. Alumni responded generously and provided nearly $118,000 for student scholarships and programs at Cedarville. 13
