Not only do participants receive a 60 percent tuition discount, but those who then choose to attend Cedarville are eligible for an academic scholarship ranging from $250 to $2,000. I’m excited to see Cedarville grow as result of this program as we continue our work of equipping students for a lifetime of leadership and service. Dr. John S. Gredy Provost In a move to position Cedarville University for future growth, Dr. John Gredy was named the University’s first provost and began his new responsibilities on July 1, 2008. The establishment of a provost position is a strategic advance for the University community and continues to strengthen institutional effectiveness. Under the direction of Cedarville President Dr. Bill Brown, the provost is charged with the administration and overall supervision of the academic, student life, and enrollment management and marketing areas. Dr. Gredy is well-suited for the role of provost. In his three years as Cedarville’s vice president for enrollment management, he earned the respect of trustees, administrators, faculty, and staff. His background includes 30 years of experience in college administration, providing leadership to both public and private universities in the areas of enrollment management, marketing, and university relations. He holds an Ed.D. in higher education and an M.S. in counseling, both from Indiana University, and a B.S. in psychology from Albion College. “John is a gifted motivator,” said Dr. Brown. “He has demonstrated a passion to build an authentic community, to collaborate to accomplish objectives, and to pursue new dreams and opportunities.
