2007-2008 Annual Report

Several years ago, Lynne and I, along with a few others, hiked up one of the Truchas Peaks in New Mexico. It was rainy, foggy, and cold. For three long hours, we trudged up the mountain, not able to see much beyond the person ahead of us. Just as we were thinking we could climb no further, we broke through the clouds and found ourselves on a sun-soaked plateau. Mountain peaks jutted into the sky as far as we could see. Bighorn sheep rams butted heads on a ledge extending over a beautiful lake. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives and worth every moment of the difficult climb. Reflecting on this past year at Cedarville University, I think about all of the hard work so many have invested in our “climb.” There were times when we seemed weary and out of breath, but the results of the year make all of the efforts worthwhile: we completed one major ascent — the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies—and began another — the School of Pharmacy. There have also been countless successes and achievements by our students, faculty, and staff. It has been an outstanding year. God has been gracious in His provision of grace and strength for all of us here at Cedarville. Without you, we would not have the resources and perseverance to continue the climb.
