Faculty Who Inspire Achievement “ I always knew I loved to teach. Until God brought me to Cedarville, I didn’t know howmuch. I have the joy of watching students grapple with content, connect what they are learning, and use Scripture to evaluate ideas and theories. My high expectations challenge and engage—and yes, sometimes stress — students, but they rise to those expectations! I give the support they need to succeed, then watch and celebrate their accomplishments when they finish well. I love spending time with Cedarville students: they are open, responsive, even idealistic. All I need to do is make myself available, and God brings students to my office to talk, ask questions, seek advice, tell me about their joys and sorrows. I listen to them and pray with them. I treasure my lasting friendships with former students: we visit, share our lives, suggest good books to one another, encourage and challenge one another. ” Deborah (Bush) Haffey, Ph.D. Professor of Communication Arts Serving at Cedarville since 1986 Honors Program Enriching any field of study, the honors program at Cedarville offers students a nationally recognized honors curriculum, seminars discussing critical issues from cross-disciplinary perspectives, and one-on-one interaction with top professors and outstanding students. 7
