3 While You’re Here Welcome to the ’Ville Checklist The following pages contain your Welcome to the ’Ville Checklist followed by a full schedule of activities and opportunities during Getting Started Weekend. Before you move in, stop by these stations in the Dixon Ministry Center. Housing Home. Sweet home. Stop by to get your housing assignment card, temporary ID, and other important information. Room 125 University Medical Services (UMS) If you have a RED sticker on your temporary ID, you are required to stop here and fill out remaining health history or insurance forms. If you require allergy shots, you may drop off your serums for your convenience. UMS staff are available to answer your questions. Room 149 Keys Pick up your residence hall key. (Note: You must have your housing assignment card before you pick up your key.) If the key doesn’t work, please bring it back to this station. Room 103 Career Services Every new student has the opportunity to take an individual, personal growth assessment designed to help you maximize your God-given talents and abilities. Sign up for this free tool. Alumni Hall Computing at the ‘Ville Sign up for computer network orientation workshops and start the academic year at full potential. Resolve password problems and learn about self-provided computers (SPC). Alumni Hall Lounge Registration Packets Stop by to pick up important information about your course schedule and other academic resources to take to the new student meeting on Monday morning. Alumni Hall Christian Ministries Learn more about ministry opportunities at Cedarville and talk with Christian Ministries staff about ways you can serve. Alumni Hall Centennial Library The Amazing Race has come to the library! Sign up for this fun orientation held Monday and Tuesday (see page 2 for details ). Alumni Hall The Cove (Academic Enrichment Center) The Cove provides programs, services, events, and workshops to cultivate academic success for all students. Sign up for a chance to win a giveaway, pick up resources, and talk with The Cove faculty and staff. Alumni Hall Additional Resources Learn about opportunities for continuing education (see page 8) . Second generation families will be welcomed to campus by Alumni Relations staff. Interested in ROTC opportunities? Stop by and find out more! Complimentary refreshments will be available. Alumni Hall It’s your choice to either continue this checklist now or move into your room and then return later for your student ID in the Center for biblical and theological studies. ID Cards (Campus Safety and Fifth Third Bank) All students are required to have a student ID card. The cedarville1card maximizes your student ID card by linking with a Fifth Third Bank account. You can sign up for a student checking account while getting your ID card (minors must be accompanied by a parent). You’ll need either your permanent cedarville1card or the previously sent temporary ID to enter the dining hall starting Friday night. Room 104 $250 Bookstore Giveaway (Admissions) Our Admissions staff will be ready to welcome you and answer any questions you may have! After receiving your cedarville1card, drop off your temporary ID (sent to you after paying the reservation deposit), and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a $250 gift card to the University bookstore! Room 104 Exit After you move in, complete your checklist by visiting the STEVENS STUDENT CENTER. Post Office All students are required to have a post office box on campus. Stop by to get your P.O. box number and combination during office hours or online at cedarville.edu/viewpobox . Lower Level Campus Safety Register your bicycle and car for access to campus parking. Lower Level This checklist is your first priority for Getting StartedWeekend. Upon arriving in Cedarville, turn onto University Boulevard and continue past the Dixon Ministry Center (DMC). Find a parking space and make your way to the DMC northwest entrance to begin (look for the“Start Here”banner).
