Dixon Ministry Center, Recital Hall 10 and 11 a.m., 1, 2, 3, and 4 p.m. Computing at the ’Ville – Students S Learn about Cedarville-specific software and computers, University expectations on computer use, and connecting your own computer, tablet, and phone to the campus network. Health Sciences Center, Rooms 201 and 205 10 and 11 a.m. Computing at the ’Ville – Parents P Learn about parent access to student information, emailing students, connecting student-owned computers, tablets, and phones to the campus network, and University expectations regarding computer use. Engineering and Science Center, Room 245 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. It’s Academic P Learn the essentials of University academic policy: degree requirements, grades, privacy regulations, registration, and more. The return on your investment at Cedarville is worth it. Health Sciences Center, Room 105 1 p.m. Parenting From a Distance P We will address how parents and their college student can adjust to changing roles. Stevens Student Center, DeVries Theatre 2:30 p.m. New Students and Parents Program S P A very special program, which will include the sketch“Calling Home.” Dixon Ministry Center, Jeremiah Chapel 4 p.m. Academic Preview S P Meet with the academic dean of your student’s school and enjoy a special time of Q-and-A with faculty from your student’s department. Location assignment in registration packet 5 p.m. New Commuters Meeting S All new students (single and married) who will be commuting are expected to attend. The Getting Started schedule and other important matters related to student life will be discussed. Dixon Ministry Center, Room 164 5:45 p.m. Freshman Class Photo S This is a Cedarville tradition. Each freshman class huddles together for a group photo taken from up on the roof. You won’t want to miss it! Stevens Student Center, Lakeside Plaza 6–10 p.m. Getting Started 2013 Program S All new students are expected to attend. Meet your small group and begin your experience together!This is optional for married students and students over age 22. Dixon Ministry Center, Jeremiah Chapel 6:30–8 p.m. Bible Minor Preview P This is an opportunity to relax and meet other parents. Take a self-guided tour of the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies. Sit in on one of the same Bible classes your student will enjoy. Hear from campus pastor, Bob Rohm, and a student-led worship band. Dixon Ministry Center, Jeremiah Chapel 1–5 p.m. Music Ensemble Auditions S Some students wonder if they should wait a year until they’re accustomed to college life or try out for a music ensemble. Our music professors encourage you to keep your skills in shape! Participating in an ensemble will take less time than it did in high school, so sign up for an audition today!
