The topographic slope of the chapel site makes ,t economically possible to construct several large classrooms under the chapel by excavating one– halt of the basement. This swte of rooms will accommodate an academic div1s10n of the College. This is an optional feature of the chapel that will be completed if finances permtt. This area can be excavated during construction and completed at a later date. This contemporary 30,842 square foot air conditioned building comprises a chapel, classrooms for the Bible department and offices for the campus pastor and christian service organizations. The seating capacity of the chapel is 1,500 with 1,000 on the main floor, including an 80 voice choir, and 500 in the balcony. The platform is designed for multi-functions by the use of portable risers. It can quickly be converted for use by an orchestra, or a large concert choir or with the risers removed can be a level platform for other activities. Other facilities include a sound control and film projection room, a projection screen, provisions for televising, broadcasting and recording, and organ-sound chamber.
