Page 72 2014–15 Graduate and Adult Programs Academic Catalog School of Biblical and Theological Studies Purpose Statement B.A. in Comprehensive Bible Purpose Statement The comprehensive Bible program provides students with a broad knowledge of the Bible and the skills for sharing that knowledge with others in formal instructional settings as well as through ministry on a more personal level. Electives within each of the related discipline areas allow students to explore personal interests while pursuing the degree program. Program Objectives After completing a degree in the comprehensive Bible program at Cedarville, the student will: • Show proficiency in interpreting, organizing and presenting the biblical text. • Clearly articulate a broad understanding of the Bible, its message, and its significance in today’s world. • Demonstrate the ability to use a sound method of personal evangelism and a clear process for discipleship based on Biblical theological principles. • Demonstrate leadership in the development and implementation of educational programs in the Church. • Apply the message of the Bible to practical experience through direct participation in a ministry setting. No additional discount is provided for auditing courses. Course Load The program is designed to allow for completion in four years and one additional semester of study. Students take two courses in each of the eight-week sessions to complete the degree in that time frame. Program Delivery Cedarville University has designed adult programs to be flexible and responsive to student needs. Courses are offered in fully online, eight-week sessions from August through June each year.
