(Fee: $1000) P Pharmacy (PHAR) PHAR-5100 3 hours Introduction to Chemistry and Mathematical Principles in Pharmacy The purpose of this course is to provide students entering the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program at Cedarvill University School of Pharmacy a primer in basic concepts in general chemisty, physics, and calculus. These basic concepts will provide students the foundational knowledge required to understand concepts in courses that are part of the Pharm.D. curriculum (e.g., medicinal chemistry and biochemisty, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenomics, immunology, etc.). PHAR-5460 Advanced Physiology 3 hours This course will address the structure and function of major organ systems of the human body. Organ systems covered include muscular, nervous, endocrine/reproductive, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and urinary systems.
