Page 34 2025–26 Graduate Academic Catalog School of Allied Health and Psychology Master of Medical Science in PA Studies Clinical Year Requirements Students must meet the following criteria before progressing to the Clinical Year and participating in SCPEs: 1. Successful completion of all first-year didactic courses 2. Successful completion of the Clinical Year Foundations course 3. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher 4. Satisfactory completion of urine drug screening 5. Satisfactory completion of criminal background check 6. Proof of updated health screening including immunization status, TB screening, annual influenza vaccination, and any clinical site-specific requirements 7. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers with current certification 8. Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course with current certification 9. Signed Information Release permitting the program to release the following to clinical sites: immunization history/ status, TB screening results, driver's license, health insurance information, and results of the most recent urine drug screen and criminal background check Clinical Credit Hour Equivalence Students enrolled in the MMSc in PA Studies program will complete immersive clinical experiences as part of their program. Students earn one (1) credit hour per 2,400 minutes of immersive clinical education. Graduation Requirements To successfully complete the program, graduate, and earn a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MMScPA) from Cedarville University, students must: • Pass all didactic and clinical courses with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 • Pass all components of the Summative Evaluation • Demonstrate competence for all Program Learning Outcomes • Submit a completed Intent to Graduate form and graduation fee to the University Registrar Intent to Graduate To graduate, whether or not you plan to attend commencement, you must submit an “Intent to Graduate” form and pay any applicable fees. An Intent to Graduate form is available at cedarville.edu/gradintent. You are encouraged to submit your Intent to Graduate at least one semester in advance so that you can be informed of any problems in meeting your degree requirements. After receipt of your Intent to Graduate, the Office of the Registrar will audit your transcript to verify the status of your degree requirements. Upon confirmation of your eligibility to graduate, you will be notified and your name will be added to the list of prospective graduates, as appropriate. The deadline for submitting your Intent to Graduate form is March 1 of the commencement year. After this date, eligibility to participate in commencement will be deferred to the following year. A graduation fee of $125 will be charged to your student account after your eligibility for graduation is confirmed. Walking in Commencement Students may participate in spring semester graduation-related exercises (i.e., white coat ceremony and commencement) if they have an approved plan to complete any outstanding program requirements by the end of the subsequent summer semester.
