The best writers of English and American L it– erature are read, studied and commented upon during two terms. In this work the student is taught to think for himself, and a taste for reading the best literature is developed. Large portions of each author studied are required to be committed to memory, and essays are written on each book as it is finished. Painter's Literature is used as the guide in study. Jevons-Hill's text in Logic is used, and much stress and time are put upon Syllogism, Fallacies, Induction, Deduction, and Practical Example . POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCE.
