ENGLISH POETRY-This course includes a study of verse strncture and an analysis of selected poems; also a critical study of the early nineteenth century poets, Coleridge, Scott, Byron, Shelley, Keats. Elective for all who have not taken the course as a part of the required work in English. Three hours a week, one sem– ester. 45. SHAKESPEARE-A careful study and analysis is made of some of Shakespeare's tragedies and comedies. Others are read rapidly. Written critiques are required.
