LIFE OF CHRIST-This course aims at a clear intellectual conception and as full a9 possible appreciation of the life, mission, work and teachings of Jesus Christ. LIFE OF PAUL-The subject.!! treated in this eouree are the evente of Paul 's life; his environment an1I the influences affecting hirn; the conteots of his writings; his conception of Chrietianity; his influence in the church. The text-book is Gilbert's Life of Paul. Elective for all who have not taken the course as a part of the required work in Bible. Three hours a week, one semester. 14. BIBLICAL GEOGRAPHY-This course includes a survey of all Biblical lands, a study of the physical features of Palestine and their effeot upon its civilization, and of the places important in Biblical history. In connocUon with the geography of the land the narrative of the patriarchs, kings, prophets, apostles and the life of Christ are studied. BIBLICAL LITERATURE-This course takes up the study of the Bible from the literary standpoint. The Bible itl!elf and Moulton'& Short Introduction to the Literature of the Bible are tho text-books. JOilN 'S GOSPEL-This course is given over to a detailed study of the Gospel according to John for the purpose of inculcating its groat spiritual truths and giving practical training in the art of Biblical in– terpretation. BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY-The testimony of the monuments of the pa11t to the truth of the Hebrew Scriptures is made the subject of this study.
