HISTORY OF EDUCATION-This course begins with a brief survey of one or two representative Oriental countries. More time Is devoted to Greek education. The Influence ot Socrates, Plato and A.rlstolle and the educational writings of the latter two receive some attention. The Roman and Mediaeval periods are passed over more rapidly so as to give more time for lbe study of modern movements and writers. Some ot the writings of the great educational reformers constitute a part of the assigned reading. Three hours a week, one semester. 15.
