NORMAL DEPARTMENT NORMAL CURRICULA FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS Two curricula for the professional training of high school teachers have already been described; 1. The Arts-Education Curriculum, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts and the state provisional high school certificate (described under the collegiate department); 2. The Graduate Education Curriculum, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education (described under the Arts– Education Curriculum). NORMAL CURRICULUM FOR ELEMENTARY TEACHERS REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION The requirements for admission to the elementary teachers' curriculum is graduation from a high school of the first grade or its equivalent. Under exceptional circumstances students not able to meet this requirement may be admitted for special work. Other subjects will be taught if there is demand for them. RATES OF TUITION The fee for instruction in the normal department is thirty do)]ars per semester, payable on the opening day. This includes a tuition fee of fifteen do]]ars, a contingent fee of ten do]]ars, and an athletic fee of five dollars.
