OBSERVATION AND PRACTICE TEACHING-The teaching of second• ary s tudies is observed by the s tudent, under the direction of the critic t eache r, in the neighboring high schools. Preliminary instruction and plans, careful not es , wri t ten reports and oral cri t iques are required of every student. A full discu s– sion of the things seen helps to clarify the principles of t ea ching involved. The pract ice teaching is done in the neighboring High Schools . The practice teac hing is preceded by s upervised less on plans, done u nder the direct super – vision of the critic teacher, and followed by a conference of all engag ed in pract ice teaching with the critic teac her.
