Twelve hours of a foreign language taken in two consecutive years are required for graduation. GERMAN A minor or teaching field of 15-18 hours is offered in this language. 101-102 BEGINNING GERMAN The elements of grammar are taught by constant drill in inflection and syntax, supplemented by oral and written work. Easy readings will be begun in the second semester. Three hours credit per semester. 201-202 INTERMEDIATE GERMAN The course will consist of the reading of the works of several Gern1an authors. There will be drills in composition and conversation. The second semester will include the 1 .. ead– ing of at least one lite1'ary classic.
