Twelve hours of a foreign language taken in two consecutive years are req11ired for graduation. GERMAN A minor or teaching field of 15-18 hours is offered in this language. 101-102 BEGINNING GERMAN The elements of grammar are taught by constant drill in inflection and syntax, supplemented by oral and written work. Easy readings will be begun in the second semester. Three hours credit per semester. 201.-202 TERMEDIATE GERMAN The course will consist of the reading of the works of several German authors. There will be drills in composition and conversation. The second semester will include the read– ing of at least one literary classic.
