Students will be led in a study of personal soul-winning and req11ired to learn suitable verses of Scripture useful in helping the unsaved to see their need of the Saviour, the simplicity of God's plan of salvation, and assurance to those who put their trust in Christ. Present day methods and opportunities will be examined. Visitation evangelism will be emphasized. Required of all students. Two hours credit 241 THE HISTORY OF MISSIONS** ('62-'63) A presentation of the movement of the Christian mission– ary enterprise from Apostolic times to our present day. Em– phasis is placed on the outstanding men of the clifferent mis– sionary periods, and the methods that they employed. Particu– lar attention will be given to the history of the missionary or– ganizations approved by the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Three credit hours 242 THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF MISSIONS** ('62-'63) An introd.uction to New Testament missionary principles. Special emphasis will be given to evangelistic techniques in pioneering the resident ministry, institutional missions and the establishment of the indigenous church. Attention will be given to the application of the FAITH principles in finance and the administration of mission affairs both at the home base and on the field. The organization and policies of the GAR.BC Approv– ed agencies will be examined in detail. Three credit hours 252 NON-CHRISTIAN CULTS* A survey of the more prevalent cults and un-Biblical re– ligious movements which profess to be Christian. The student will learn the source of authority to which appeal is made by the advocates of heretical teaching, the doctrines which they propa– gate will be compared ,vith the plain teaching of Scripture, and the most effective 1nethods of refutation will be studied with an evangelistic emphasis.
