modeled, enlarged, and converted into a gymnasium by the laying of a basketball floor and the provision of wide tiers of bleacher space on each side. Since the construction of the gymnasium-student center, the building is being remodeled once again to serve as an auditorium. Remodeled in 1959 to provide increased dining and kitchen facil– ities, the cafeteria is a separate building on campus. The library building, erected in rn07, wa;:; the gift of the late An– drew Carnegie. Permanently shelved in the college library are about 21,000 volumes, 250 periodicals, and reference works. By an arrange– ment with the Greene County Library System, the faculty and stu– dents also have access to about 100,000 books which are in Xenia and branch libraries. These books will be sent to Cedarville on request. GYMNASIUMmSTUDENT Completed in 1963 at a cost of over $200,000, this new building provides excellent facilities for physical education and intramural activities. The gymnasium seats over 2,000 spectators for varsity basketball contests. The student center includes a snack shop, lounge, game room, and banquet hall.
