Wyse Instructor: Ardeth Webber The division of Business Administration is comprised of A) Ac– counting, B) General Business, C) Secretarial Science, D) Economics, E) Business Education. This division intends to prepare students for activity in business, church financial leadership, and teachers for secondary schools. The curriculum is designed to give the prospective business student a pro– fessional training in a Christian atmosphere. Programs are offered leading to both the B.A. and B.S. degree. The B.S. programs, being considered professional programs, require more hours for the major. Because of this, the language and minor field requirements are waived, except that there is a minor field requirement for the Book– keeping-Basic Business major under the Bachelor of Science in Education Degree. Bachelor of Science Programs Requirements for a Major in Accounting. Forty-eight semester hours, including Accounting 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302, 401, 402; Gen– eral Business 111, 312, 412, 413, 414; Economics 131, 132, 333. Ad– ditional requirement-Mathematics 183. Requirements for a Major in General Business. Forty-two semester hours, including Accounting 101, 102; General Business 111, 112, 311, 312, 314, 412, 413, 414; Economics 131, 132, 331, 333. Mathematics 182 or 183 may be substituted for General Business 112. Requirements for a Major in Secretarial Science. Forty-two semes– ter hours, including Accounting 101, 102; General Business 111, 112, 312; Secretarial Science 221, 223, 224, 322; Economics 131, 132; nine hours of electives in Accounting and/or General Business. Bachelor of Arts Programs Requirements for a Major in Business Administration. Thirty semester hours, including Accounting 101, 102; General Business 111, 316; Economics 131, 132; twelve hours of electives in Accounting and/or General Business. Requirements for a Major in Secretarial Science. Thirty semester hours, including Accounting 101; General Business 312; Secretarial Science 221, 223, 224, 322; twelve hours of electives in Accounting, General Busi– ness, and/or Secretarial Science.
