Two credit hours E. APPLIED MUSIC Credit in applied music study is based on three to five hours of practice and one lesson per week for one hour of credit. All music majors must give an applied music recital during the senior year. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLIED MUSIC LESSONS 1. Original registration is by satisfactorily passing an entrance audition. 2. Continued registration is based upon satisfactory progress, judged each quarter by the music faculty at the time of applied music board ex– aminations. 3. Students on academic probation may be denied applied music lessons. 4. A freshman must be enrolled in some additional music course or per– forming music group to be eligible for lessons. 5. A student must be carrying at least ten credit hours in addition to music lessons or pay a $40 registration fee per quarter hour of lessons.
