Elementary and Kindergarten Education Programs Elementary education certific'ation includes grades 1-8. The elementary education certificate may be validated for kindergarten upon successful completion of eight quarter hours in kindergarten methods and materials and a course in Developmental Psychology. Programs in elementary education are also available in physical educa– tion and music and qualify one to teach that subject in grades K-8.
