Adventure in Learning 1 2. Electives shall be those courses which will not count toward either general education, major, minors, or cognates. 3. In order to receive credit the student must maintain at least a "C" average in the course. 4. The maximum number of courses allowed per student shall be in relation to his grade point average, as follows: 2.0 - 2.49 - one course 2.5-2.99-two courses 3.0 - 3.49 - four courses 3.5 and above - six courses 5. Following the end of the fourth week of the quarter, the student may not change a course from the credit or no credit system to the regular program. 6. The student may not change a regularly scheduled class to credit or no credit after the first full calendar week of the quarter. Testing Out Procedure Qualified students are allowed to earn credit hours toward graduation by pass– ing the appropriate examinations with a grade of "B" or better. Students interested in testing out must have department chairman approval. Tests can be taken during registration week or during the first two full calendar weeks of classes. The student will be granted hourly credit but will not be given a grade on the transcript. Stu– dents may not test out of a course they have audited and are not able to test out of more than twenty-seven quarter hours. A $10 test fee must be paid in advance. This amount will be applied to the $15.00 per hour fee if the student successfully passes the examination.
