16 Cedarville College and the Registrar. Correspondence study is not counted as residence credit, and therefore can not be counted toward the residence requirements. Permission forms are available in the Registrar's office. Credits received for correspondence study are treated in the same manner as transfer credits. Summer School The college offers two summer terms of five weeks each in June, July, and in mid-August. A student may earn up to ten quarter hours each term. Chapel is held daily and attendance is required. The summer sessions can appeal to a variety of students. Some wish to acceler– ate their college program. Other students from other institutions may desire Bible courses which are not available at their institutions. Teachers find the summer terms convenient as a means by which to update themselves in their disciplines. Others enjoy the advantages of smaller summer classes. Incoming freshmen rec– ognize summer attendance as an excellent opportunity to become acclimated to academic pursuits before campus activities begin in the Fall. High school students who have completed their junior year and who display suf– ficient academic strength may want to consider the summer program. The following courses are typical offerings during the summer: Biblical Education - Four Gospels, New Testament Survey, Baptist History, Missions Survey, Induc– tive Methods of Bible Study Business Administration - Principles of Economics, Principles of Organization and Management, Principles of Accounting Education- Introduction to Education, Principles of Education, Principles of Teaching, Measurement and Evaluation, Math for Elementary Teachers Language and Literature - Grammar and Syntax, Early American Literature, Early English Literature, Nine– teenth Century English Literature, World Literature, Mythology Music- Man and the Arts Physical Education - Tennis, Golf Psychology- General Psychology, Education Psychology, Human Growth and Development Science and Mathematics - Principles of Biology, Introduction to Mathematics, Human Anatomy and Phy– siology, Introduction to Physical Science Speech- Fundamentals of Speech, Seminar in Christian Broadcasting Social Science - U.S. History, Foundations of Sociology, World Geography Interested students should contact the Director of Admissions, and those stu– dents seeking financial aid should contact the Director of Financial Aid.
