The.Broadcaster's Award. An annual award is presented to a deservmg student majoring in broadcasting. Selection is made by the Speech Department and manager of WCDR-FM. The award c?nsists of a one-year subscription to The Broadcasting Maga– zme. The Clara Monzelle Milner Award. This annual award for exc~llence is.gr~nted to a dese1:vingjunior majoring in teacher ed– ucat10n. A citation accompames the $100 prize. This memorial has been provided by Dr. George S. Milner. Rules of award are determined by the faculty. The Clifford R. Maddox Memorial Award. An annual award of $100 is granted to the graduating senior who has the highest average in the Undergraduate Record Examination Field Tests or the GRE Advanced Tests. CRC Press Chemistry Award. The current edition of the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics is presented to the student with the highest average for the year in General Chemistry. The Creation Research Award. These awards are presented annually t? outstandinl? seniors majoring in biology, chemistry, i:nathemat1cs, and medical tec~nology. Selection is made by the !acuity of the Department of Science. The award consists of mem– bersh~p in the Creatio~ Research Society, a subscription to the ~reat1on Research Society Quarterly, and a certificate of recogni– tion. The Edith Hart Milner Award. This annual award for excel– lence is awarded to a deserving junior majoring in English litera– ture. A citation accompanies the $100 prize. This memorial has been provided by Dr. George S. Milner. Rules of the award are determined by the faculty. The Edmund Burke Award. This award, a minimum of $1.00, is awarded to a junior student majoring in social science with a 3.5 grade point average. The recipient is chosen by the de– partment faculty. . The Faculty Schol~rship !rophy. An annual faculty award 1s made to the graduatmg senior who has the highest cumulative grade point average. Eligibility must include 120 quarter hours taken at Cedarville College completed within nine regular quar– ters. The George L. Lawlor Greek Award. An annual award is– given to the student having the highest average in Elementary and 43 Intermediate Greek over five quarters. The Englishman's Greek Concordance is the award to the recipient. The James T. Jeremiah Award. Established to honor his contribution to Christian education as president of Cedarville Col– lege, the James T. Jeremiah Award is given annually to the win– n~r(s) of the Preside.nt,'s Trophy from an endowment fund pro– vided by the past recipients of the annual President's Trophy. T~e J. D. "Jae~" Willetts Scholarship Award. In memory of this former president of the Cedarville Alumni Association a scholarship of ~500 from the Alumni Scholarship and Grant En– dowment Fund Is awarded to a sophomore or junior who excels in preparation ~or ~h~ fie!~ of education: Outstanding academic per– formance, s1gmf1cant mvolvement m campus activities, well– rounded. pe~sonality exhib~ting Christian thinking in daily living, and dedication to developmg the mind of Christ in others are re– quired. The faculty of the Department of Education make final se– lection from among the candidates. The Jimmy O'Quinn Evangelism Grant. This $300 award is given annually to an outstanding senior who has actively partici– ~ated in local church ministry and, if possible, in campus evange– lism and gospel team evangelism, whose conduct and deportment are exemplary. The John E. Kohl Music Trophy. This annual award for ex– cellence is granted to a deserving junior majoring in music. A ci– t~tion accompanies the.$ J 00 gift. The trophy is given in recogni– tion of ~x~ellence_in musical sch<?larship, musical performance, a~d Chnstrnn service through music. This memorial has been pro– vided by Robert Trombley. Selection is made by the faculty of the Department of Music. The Martha Louise Brown Memorial Award. This annual Chris~ian s~rvice award is given to a deserving graduating senior showmg faithfulness and leadership in the area of Christian ser– vice. Selection is made by the Christian Service Committee. Oxford University Press Scofield Bible Award. An em– bossed Scofield Bible is awarded to the graduating senior in Bible having the highest cumulative grade point average. T~e Pre~ident's Trophy. This is awarded annually to a gra– duatmg semor on the basis of scholastic ability, character, leader– ship, and sportsmanship. The Wall Street Journal Award. This award is made annual– ly to an outstanding graduate in business.
